Westcliffe Colorado is a small ranching town located in a valley between the Sangre De Cristo Mountains and the Wet Mountains. The large amount of rain this spring has contributed to an abundance of wildflowers around Westcliffe. Some of the photos were also shot nearby at Bishops Castle, a strange quirky place in the heart of the Wet Mountains. Kids love hiking through the castle.

You have an eye for great photography, I always look forward to seeing you next photo shoot
David, I don’t think so. When we were there it was mid-June and were told that we were there just past the peak of season. So, put Westcliff on your list for next June. I can recommend Betty Ford Garden in Vail. Different flowers bloom all summer long. It’s a great garden. I have pictures of Betty Ford Garden on this website you you have a preview. Thanks for writing, Doug.

Great flower shots in the Westcliff area. Noted from early July. Do you think the flowers are still going down in the westcliffe area? Would like to take my wife to some flower areas.…
