Lived 10 miles from these majestic beasts when I lived in Aspen working for The Aspen Times. Hiked up to them mulitple times a year.

Photographed them dozens of times my 7 1/2 years at the newspaper.

Nice image.

There’s no waterfall per se. There are cascades from the melting snow cap. The most vigorous is in the Bell Cord Couloir. That’s the main division between North and South Maroon Peaks.

But Maroon Creek does not have any real water falls.

They are wonderful to be sure! My first visit was in September and they were at the very perfect peak of color. I’m hoping to get back up during the wildflower season this year.

Isn’t there a waterfall up that way too? I think we hiked this place about 5–10 years ago! Crazy!
