Fun With Topaz Labs Adjust

Topaz Labs Adjust

Topaz Labs Adjust 4 is a Photoshop plug-in. It also works with Lightroom, Aperture and others programs. Adjust is powerful exposure, detail, color and noise adjustment filter. You can create HDR like photos from a single photo. Adjust can also turn a plain photo into a stunning fine art photo in just minutes. You are only limited by your own imagination. Once you have created what you like, you can save the settings as a preset for your future work. I like Topaz Labs Adjust  4 for its ability to bring back the color, detail and exposure to what I saw when I first photographed an object. I also used Adobe Lightroom for some minor final adjustments. I can highly recommend Topaz Labs Adjust and all the other plug-ins in the Topaz Labs bundle. I use them all. With a few simple rules (some of which can be broken), your images will be taken to the next level. PowerShot G12 Digital CameraCanon has given its popular PowerShot series a face lift with the addition of the PowerShot G12 Digital Camera. While remaining true to many of its predecessor’s features, the G12 comes busting out of the gate with what’s fast becoming a standard on digital cameras: digital video (with stereo sound no less!). Shoot 1280 x 720p HD video with stereo audio using this compact, yet versatile camera. Awesome, right?

In addition to riding the video tide the G12 also stays competitive with its 10MP still image capture. Shoot RAW and JPEG files to SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards, among others, with the help of the camera’s 1/1.7″ CCD image sensor and DIGIC 4 image processor, otherwise referred to as Canon’s HS System. The G12 additionally sports a 3200 ISO setting for excellent shooting in low light settings.

Nikon D300s review and tips

Nikon d300s

I just received my new Nikon D300s from B&H Photovideo last Friday, August 6 2010.  Review of the Nikon D300s. View the video from B&H Photovideo on the new Nikon D300s DSLR camera.

Rugged DSLR for stills and HD video

The Nikon D300s contains a 12.3Mp DX-format CMOS sensor, 920,000-dot Live View-enabled LCD, and can shoot stills at up to 7 frames-per-second.  Aside from stills, the NikonD300s can also capture 720p video using any number of Nikon optics.

Nikon D300s Review

The Nikon D300s is truly a professional camera and the top of the line DX sensor camera. The D300s is almost the same layout as the Full Frame FX sensor Nikon D700. It is a 12.3 mega pixel digital camera with a fast continuous shooting up to 7 frames per second. Pictures are taken in JPEG, Tiff, AVI and 12 or 14-bit NEF (RAW) format. The camera has a low noise ISO sensitivity range from 200 to 3200 and expanded ISO 100 and up to 6400. It has 51 autofocus points, programmed, manual, aperture priority, and shutter priority exposure mode settings.  It has manual and auto focus modes. There’s a 3 inch LCD monitor with 921000 dot resolution with one button live view, a Rugged magnesium-alloy construction, image editing, and an automatic image sensor cleaner are also included.  The new feature on this camera over the Nikon D300 is that it shoots 720p (24 fps) HD movies. It also has a built in monaural microphone as well as external stereo mini-pin jack, along with a built-in pop up flash.

The Nikon D300s has 1 SD card slot that supports SecureDigital (SD) and SDHC SecureDigital High Capacity, It also has 1 CompactFlash Type I &II (CF) card slot. The memory cards are not included. I recommend 8GB to 16GB class 6, high speed for SD cards and 400x or higher for CF cards. The camera comes with video cable and USB cables, as well as an EN-EL3e Lithium-ion rechargeable battery, battery charger, strap, eyepiece shield, rubber eyecup, hot-shoe cover, body cap, and LCD cover, also included are CD-ROMs with Nikon software suite and a manual. This is a rugged professional camera and did I say FAST 7 fps. If you’re into HDR then this camera is for you with exposure bracketing from 2 to 9 exposures.  WOW! The Nikon D300s is a bit expensive but is a work horse. I own this camera and even with the features of the new Nikon D7000 I would still own the Nikon D300s.
