The Vintage Car Club of Castle Rock Colorado had a car show at the Village At Castle Pines last Saturday Aug 22,2009 in Castle Rock Colorado. The show featured Classic Cars, Hot Rods and Muscle Cars. Talking To the owners of these cars you can see the hard work and passion that went into the restoration. Photographing  these beautiful cars was a big thrill for me. As you can see in the slideshow below these car have  incredible colors,  finishes and glimpse of the great history of the automobile. Thanks to all the car owners and the people that put this event together.

Map of Castle Rock Colorado

Lake City is one the most remote old silver mining towns in Colorado.  Mining started around Lake City in the mid 1870s. Today, Lake City is a great place for fishing, hiking , off roading  in the  summer and snowmobiling in the winter. Area attractions include Lake San Cristobal, Engineer and Cinnamon Passes which are both part of the alpine Loop 4 wheel drive route.  Some of the sights along this route worth taking in are places such as  Capital City, Whitmore Falls,  Empire Chief Mine,  Engineer City, Sherman town site along with  many others. Photographing the scenery is in this area is absolutely incredible.

Bears in a Rockrimmon Tree in Colorado Springs

On the morning of 6/30/2009  a friend of mine, Barbara called me with a siting of 3 bear cubs and mother bear in a tree in their backyard.  So I loaded up my photo gear and headed down in hopes of  photographing these bears. The bears were asleep on different parts of the tree between 30′ to 50′ up. After the cubs awoke they were playing and climbing   all over the tree while mom was still asleep. After the cubs woke-up their mom they all climbed down to the base of the tree and the 3 bear cubs enjoyed a delicious breakfast.
